FIELD: car industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuously variable transmissions. In a method for control of a continuously variable transmission of a vehicle, at different heights, at least one of height and atmospheric pressure is determined; a frequency of rotation of a driven pulley is determined; a position of a gas control body and a position of a throttle valve are determined. A piston is selectively activated, depending on at least one of height and atmospheric pressure. A piston force is controlled, depending on the frequency of rotation of the driven pulley and one of the position of the gas control body and the position of the throttle valve. The piston force is controlled based on the first control map corresponding to the first height and the second control map corresponding to the second height, depending on the determined one of height and atmospheric pressure.
EFFECT: control efficiency depending on the environment is increased.
