FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for the preparation of a coordination compound of hydroxamic acid-metal hydroxide. According to the proposed method, a coordination reaction takes place in a system of alkaline solutions between hydroxamic acid and divalent or highly valent metal ions for the production of a coordination compound of hydroxamic acid-metal hydroxide, after which the compound of hydroxamic acid-metal hydroxide is adsorbed by carrier particles in a solution system by means of a method for adsorption by a foam flotation carrier. Next, after the completion of adsorption, carrier particles with the adsorbed coordination compound of hydroxamic acid-metal hydroxide are extracted using foam flotation, and a solution of the coordination compound of hydroxamic acid-metal hydroxide is obtained by ultrasound flushing of carrier particles with the adsorbed coordination compound of hydroxamic acid-metal hydroxide. At the same time, carrier particles are quartz particles with a size of 10-37 mcm, and hydroxamic acid has a structure of the Formula I, where R is C4-C12 alkyl, unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon C4-C12 radical, aryl, and divalent and highly valent metal ions include at least one of elements: Pb2+, Ca2+, Mn2+, Fe3+, and Al3+. A complex compound obtained by the specified method and its use as a flotation collector for flotation separation of minerals based on metal oxides from empty rocks are also proposed.

EFFECT: proposed method allows for obtaining a complex compound of hydroxamic acid and metal hydroxide, having high selectivity and high capability of accumulation of metal oxide minerals, affecting minerals, such as tungsten ore, cassiterite, ilmenite, rutile, and rear earth metals, as well as it is simple, has low cost and is suitable for industrial production.
