FIELD: material processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material processing by cutting; it can be used for grinding a thrust end surface of a union or a coupling of a two-thrust lock connection of a drill pipe. The device consists of a case made in the form of a cylinder and consisting of outer and inner parts, flanges, and grinding discs with abrasive paper of inner and outer parts of the case. Flanges of outer and inner part of the case are connected with a threaded connection from one side and a hexahedral groove made at the end of the flange of the inner part of the case. Grinding the surface of the union or the coupling is carried out by the flange of the outer part of the case. Grinding the thrust end surface of the union is carried out with its placement inside the inner part of the case. Grinding the thrust end surface of the coupling is carried out with its placement on top of the inner part of the case.
EFFECT: elimination of defects of processed surfaces with saving mechanical properties of material, when grinding.
