FIELD: extravehicular activities.
SUBSTANCE: multi-stage positioner refers to tools and fixtures used primarily in extravehicular activities. The proposed positioner contains two or more pairs of contact mating annular magnets and spherical yokes, the latter being fixed at the ends of the rack connecting them, forming a single connected structure with two centers of rotation of the yokes in the annular magnets. This achieves the possibility of arbitrary positioning of the payload platform in the volume of the hemisphere in an unlimited number of positions. One of the ring magnets is flange-mounted on the base object, and the other is fixed in the same way on the payload platform.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency and ergonomics of the activity of an astronaut in a spacesuit, for example, on the surface of an orbital station or on the Moon.
