FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of mechanical engineering; it can be used for fixation of polyethylene pipes for an operation of cutting with subsequent processing. A clamping device for polyethylene pipes contains a split case consisting of two parts. On an inner cylindrical surface of the case, risks are carved with a width of 2 mm and a radius of 1 mm at an interval of 16 mm. Risks with the radius of 1mm provide reliable fixation of polyethylene pipes without the presence of defects. Eight supports with holes and four hinges are attached to the split case, using welded joints. Two upper and two lower axes are inserted into holes of supports. Four axes are fixed using washers and splints in supports. At the same time, two levers are installed on two upper axes, freely rotating on upper axes and fixed with their spherical part on two lower axes at a moment of clamping the polyethylene pipe. Levers are designed for reliable fixation of the polyethylene pipe due to full contact of the inner cylindrical surface of the split case with the polyethylene pipe. Two axes fixed using washers and splints are also installed in hinges. Moreover, hinges are freely rotated on axes.

EFFECT: provision of reliable fixation of polyethylene pipes without the presence of defects, such as risks, burrs, dents on a surface of polyethylene pipes after clamping, as well as ease of manufacture.
