SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ecology and can be used for processing, sorting and disinfection of municipal solid waste, including in the complex processing of municipal solid waste landfills. The method for processing municipal solid waste into secondary raw materials includes waste grinding, drying and further pressing. Crushing, drying and compacting of waste is carried out without prior sorting in a rotating drying drum, installed with the ability to control the speed of rotation and equipped with cylindrical rollers, which, due to rotation, provide mixing, grinding, cutting, crushing and pressing of municipal solid waste when exposed to a coolant with a controlled temperature of 100-500ºC. At the same time, dry crushed light fractions are sent by air flow to the combustion chamber, increasing the efficiency of the process. The remaining fractions are pressed into thermoplastic waste, encapsulated with the remains of lighter fractions in increasing specific gravity.

EFFECT: invention allows to significantly reduce the capital operating costs for the processing of municipal solid waste while ensuring a favorable environmental situation.
