FIELD: reclamation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of reclamation; it can be used for protection of juvenile fish on reclamation water intake structures and channels. A method for protection of juvenile fish from entering water intake includes formation of a hydraulic shield in front of a water-intake window, using a jet flow flowing from water-jet nozzles of a collector, and creation of a counterflow directed towards a water-intake flow with speeds exceeding a speed of an approach flow and critical speeds of juvenile fish, providing withdrawal of fish from a zone of action of the main water intake equipment to a safe zone of a water source. According to the invention, regardless the main water intake equipment and for creation of critical speeds of jets, when they flow from water-jet nozzles, in a range of 17-20 m/s, water purified from mechanical impurities is supplied under pressure of 3-4 MPa to a collector, and flow-forming elements are installed in front of water-jet nozzles coaxially at a distance of 3-10 cm, which have a shape of cones with an opening angle of 60-130° with vertices facing water-jet nozzles, and a lattice is installed on the base of cones for purification and washing the water-intake window, nodes of which are coaxial to their centers and water-jet nozzles. For provision of a speed in the water-intake window in a range of 0.1-0.2 m/s and creation of the hydraulic shield with uniform counterflow energy density, the collector is installed along a live section of the water-intake window at a distance from the water-intake window corresponding to 0.5-0.7 m, with the possibility of adjustment of an angle of inclination from 70 to 90° relatively to the axis of an incoming water intake flow.
EFFECT: invention allows for increase in the efficiency of protection from death of juvenile fish and fish larvae, provides purification and washing of a water-intake window during operation of a fish protection device.
