METHOD FOR SELECTING ARMOURED VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH CAMOUFLAGE TOOLS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC G01S13/06

Abstract RU 2783347 C1

FIELD: radio location.

SUBSTANCE: stated result is achieved by the the received signal, after being processed in an analogue-to-digital converter of the phase channel, being converted to an eight-bit binary parallel sample stored in the buffer memory apparatus of the phase channel and supplied for processing to the fast Fourier transform unit in digital form. From the output of the fast Fourier transform unit, the set of spectral samples is supplied to a special detection processor, wherein discrete values of the amplitude and phase of the reflected signal are accumulated according to the minimax program of the algorithm with a "floating" threshold "embedded" into said processor; the value and direction of deviation of the energy centre of the vehicle from the geometric centre of the target are determined and averaged, thereby minimising the impact of the camouflage tools on the target. Information on the presence of a target against the background of interfering reflections and interference, as well as ones equipped with means of camouflage, is supplied from the output of the detection processor through the interface unit with an information display system in the form of a set of coordinates by azimuth and range, as well as information on the time of detection (sequence number of the scan) wherein the detection occurred.

EFFECT: increase in the reliability of recognising a target on the basis of an implementing spectral analysis detection algorithm with a "floating" threshold for the minimum detection rule.
