FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an instrumentation system and may be used in radiolocating equipment for high-accuracy assessment of ice conditions in areas of marine production and transportation of oil and gas resources. The method consists in the fact that radio radiation is carried out at one of two interferometric antennas spaced by height, reflected signals are received with two antennas, and while receiving, reflected signals are broken into sections, and calculations of each fold are made section by section. A radiolocating system comprises the following components linked to each other in a certain manner - a unit of an antenna system from two antennas, power amplifiers, high-frequency amplifiers, intermediate frequency amplifiers, mixers, phase detectors, a phase changer, a RLS control unit, a frequency synthesizer and other elements, which provide for definition of a formation in the specified radius of the ice edge, its approach to an object, measurement of thickness of dangerous ice formations, speed definition, direction of drifting fields movement, and may represent a high-accuracy assessment of ice conditions.
EFFECT: invention provides for high-accuracy evaluation of ice conditions and warns about harmful objects approaching.
