FIELD: chemical technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemical technology and ecology and can be used to neutralize various liquid and pasty wastes, in particular landfill filtrate, reverse osmosis concentrate, sewage sludge and other liquid wastes, the COD index of which is 1000-10000 mg/l and more. The method includes mixing liquid waste and liquid oxygen compressed by a high-pressure cryogenic pump to a pressure of at least 25 MPa and supplied with such pressure for mixing, transferring them to a supercritical state, and oxidizing organic pollutants. In this case, the stoichiometric ratio of oxygen supplied to the mixer to the COD of the purified liquid is in the range of 1.05-1.3. The oxygen flow rate is adjusted according to the residual oxygen in the purified liquid. After mixing, the reaction mixture is sent to the reaction volume, the residence time and temperature from 380°C and above, in which they are selected so that the COD index decreases by 50-500 times, pressure is reduced, gas is removed and the purified liquid is drained.

EFFECT: reduction of capital and operating costs and simplification of the device.
