FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to a method for removal of hydrogen cations (H+) from biological fluid in a dialysis system, a method for extracorporeal treatment of blood of a subject – a human or an animal in the dialysis system, as well as to a method for the treatment of a subject suffering from an acid-base balance disorder. Methods include impact on biological fluid through semipermeable membrane of dialysis fluid in a dialyzer, in which dialysis fluid includes (I) pH value in the range from 8.0 to 11.0, (II) at least one buffer agent with pKa value in the range from 7.0 to 11.0, and (III) buffer capacity for H+ ions of at least 12 mmol/l, wherein the method additionally includes automatic determination of a number of hydrogen cations (H+) removed from biological fluid, where the number of hydrogen cations (H+) removed from biological fluid is calculated based on the buffer capacity of dialysis fluid and the difference between pH value of dialysis fluid coming into the dialyzer and pH value of dialysis fluid coming out of the dialyzer.
EFFECT: above-described methods allow for effective removal of hydrogen cations from biological fluid.
