FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electrical engineering, in particular, to a method for charging the accumulators of traction batteries for electric transport or for other purposes. The technical result is achieved by applying mains voltage to the input of the charging system, activating a voltage controller, and applying a voltage to the accumulator charging apparatus. The voltage from the controller is applied to an intermediate relay, wherein said relay disconnects the normally closed contacts and connects the normally open contacts, switching the accumulator from serial to parallel connection for charging; the relay activates the charging apparatus; after charging the accumulators, the controller issues a command to deactivate the charging apparatus and the intermediate relay, disconnecting the normally open contacts and connecting the normally closed contacts, switching the accumulators from parallel to serial connection for operation of the accumulators of a traction battery.
EFFECT: higher uniformity and effectiveness of charging the accumulators of a traction battery for electric transport or for other purposes.
