SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of plumbing systems, in particular to manually operated balancing valves. The balancing valve comprises a body with an inlet and outlet branch pipes, with an axial flow channel, a valve seat, as well as an upper branch pipe for installing a locking element in it, located in the guide element, and made with the possibility of reciprocating movement and complete closing of the valve seat, moreover on the upper end of the guide element there is a handle configured to control the reciprocating movement of the locking element when the handle is rotated, and the locking element is made in the form of a cylindrical plunger, in the lower part of which there is an annular shoulder with a lower annular groove, in which an annular plastic seal is installed, and the lower part of the plunger, after the annular shoulder, is made in the form of a tapering cone with a cut top, with the formation of a disc-shaped lower part of the plunger, while the valve seat and the upper branch pipe are made in the body of the housing in such a way that their axis is located at an angle of 25° up to 35° to the valve flow channel axis.
