FIELD: wind energy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind energy. A wind power plant (WPP) with two wind wheels containing an equal number of blades, wind wheel hubs, an electric generator, the stator winding of which is connected to the power system. The WPP is equipped with a gear unit, each wind wheel is connected through its shaft to its input to the gear unit, the output of which is connected to an electric generator, while these shafts are located at an angle δ to each other, providing the largest total swept area of the wind wheels. The gear unit is made with the possibility of synchronous rotation of said shafts in different directions so that the blade of one wind wheel passes in the middle of two adjacent blades of another wind wheel without touching its hub fairing. In the gear unit, the wind wheel shafts are interconnected by a bevel gear, and the output of the gear unit forms a continuation of one of the wind wheel shafts. The angle δ between the shafts is equal to δ=2arctg[(L/2)/C], where L is the distance between the hubs of the wind wheels, C is the distance between the middle of the distance L between the hubs of the wind wheels and between the point of conditional intersection of the shafts of the wind wheels.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in electricity generation due to an increase in the area swept by the windwheels and due to the proximity of the windwheel rotation planes.
