FIELD: drilling.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geological survey drilling for solid minerals; in particular, to threaded connections of smooth-bore drill pipes and pipes with thin-walled welded threaded ends; is aimed at increasing the wear resistance and reliability of smooth-bore drill pipes near the threaded connections and providing the possibility of restoration thereof. Connection of the threaded ends of drill pipes includes a nipple threaded end and a collared threaded end, wherein right-directed wear-resistant screw protrusions are made on the outer surface of the collared end of the connection and on the section of the outer pipe surface adjacent to the threaded part of the nipple end of the connection. The lengths of pipe segments whereon protrusions are made herein are selected such that the length of the area whereon the protrusions are applied, when assembled, is equal to or greater than the length of the centralisers applied for pipes of the corresponding diameter, and the surfaces of each turn in contact with the well walls, when assembled, should be located on the same cylindrical surface with a generatrix parallel to the pipe axis.

EFFECT: ensured connection of the threaded ends of drill pipes.
