FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and can be used for hot plastic processing of elongated steel forgings on a hammer of horizontal layout (impactor). By cutting down, a blank is obtained with thickenings at the ends for the key heads. Adjacent blanks are connected by thickenings to obtain a common area, in the middle of which an elongated hole is punched under to form the mouths of adjacent keys. The resulting workpiece is first heated in a pass-through inductor to the hot stamping temperature, and then fed with the necessary pitch to a hammer with a horizontal arrangement of impact masses. With the help of a stamp, a section of the periodic profile falling on one forging is deformed in one blow. The stamped forging of a wrench when the stamp halves collide is separated from the profile blank in a cut-off stream located coaxially with the stamping stream.
EFFECT: as a result, the loads on the hammer stamp are reduced, the blank is transported at the processing stages and the impactor is positioned at the point of impact of the moving masses to shape the deformable section of the flat lank in the stamp in one blow.
