FIELD: metal processing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of metals by pressure and can be used for hot plastic processing of elongated steel forgings on a hammer of horizontal layout. The long billet is heated in a pass-through inductor. By cross-helical rolling of round-section blanks, profile rolling is obtained from joining blanks in the form of two undeformed sections for the heads of the wrench jaws. Adjacent blanks are connected to each other. Then the resulting profile rolling with a residual temperature is heated in a pass-through inductor and longitudinal rolling is carried out by acceleration to obtain a planar blank. The said blank, which has a residual temperature, is additionally heated in a pass-through inductor and fed to a hammer, on which a part of a long blank that falls on one forging is deformed in one impact. At the same time, the forging of the wrench is separated from the long billet in the bran stream.
EFFECT: as a result, the range of forgings is expanded.
