FIELD: microwave technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave technology. The high-power waveguide load contains a short-circuited section of a rectangular waveguide with a flange at one end, with cooling ribs on the outer surface and a short-circuiting metal plug at the other end, as well as an absorber located inside the rectangular waveguide and fixed on its walls. At the same time, the waveguide tube is made with a symmetrical expansion by means of stepped transitions, the inner surfaces of two opposite walls from the side of the flange of the waveguide tube pass into the surface of the walls of its expanded part with the formation of an expanded channel of a rectangular waveguide, and the transitions are made in the form of pockets in the plan with sharp corners with rounded tops directed towards the flange of the rectangular waveguide. The absorber consists of two identical symmetrically located wedge-shaped parts, with inclined surfaces facing each other, each of which is made with a rectangular base and vertical long and short walls, while the short wall turns into an inclined surface, which from the side opposite from the base turns into a bevel, made at an acute angle to the long wall, commensurate with the sharp corners of the pockets in the walls of the waveguide tube. The waveguide load contains an insert placed on the side opposite from the flange in the expanded channel of the rectangular waveguide and commensurate with this channel, made with a protrusion on the inner surface, with which the absorber parts interact with their rectangular bases.
EFFECT: reduction of dimensions, level of the microwave signal reflected from the load, improvement of signal consistency with the load.
