FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microwave engineering and can be used as final load in waveguide channels with high power level and the reference measurement of matched load. For this purpose, microwave load contains metal waveguide, absorber and screen. Waveguide is rectangular with height b of narrow wall and width a of wide wall, in which is formed by smooth transition of variable height decreasing to zero at the length L. Absorbing surface of transition is aligned with absorbing surface of absorber width s located on one of wide walls of waveguide, and reflecting surface transition is on the opposite wide wall, if s < a, α= arctg (b/L), wherein α is angle of inclination of transition.
EFFECT: reduced voltage standing-wave ratio (VSWR) and length of microwave load at structural and process simplification.
