FIELD: heaters.
SUBSTANCE: flow-through electromagnetic induction fluid heater (1, 1', 1'') in a beverage vending machine comprises a tubular body (7) delimiting a fluid channel (7a) and having an inlet (8) and an outlet (10) through which the heated fluid flows out of the channel (7a) in use. The heating element (13, 13', 13") is located at least partially inside the channel (7a) in such a way that it is washed by the water flow during use. The electrical winding (11) is wound directly on the outer surface (12) of the tubular body (7). The winding can be electrically energized to generate an electromagnetic inductive field and thereby heat the heating element (13, 13', 13"). The flow-through electromagnetic induction heater (1, 1', 1'') of the fluid further comprises an upstream deflector (25) located inside the channel (7a) downstream of the inlet (8) and upstream of the heating element (13, 13', 13'') relative to the direction of fluid flow from the inlet (8) to the outlet (10).
EFFECT: deflector is shaped to reduce the hydrodynamic resistance to the passage of said fluid between the inlet (8) and the heating element (13, 13', 13'').
