FIELD: testing devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for testing the compression of long samples in the study of the mechanical properties of the material. The device contains axial supports, between which the sample and the support supporting it in the transverse direction are placed. The support that supports the sample in the transverse direction is made in the form of a conductor sleeve, in which the sample is placed with the possibility of rotation of the sleeve around it. The sample is placed with a radial gap that excludes all-round contact of the sleeve with the sample when a compressive force is applied, which is selected depending on the specified degree of sample deformation. One of the axial supports is fixed and has a cylindrical protrusion in contact with the sample end, which enters the sleeve hole, the opposite axial support is a plunger with an elongated cylindrical protrusion, which enters the sleeve hole and acts on the sample when a compressive force is applied.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of results when testing for uniaxial compression of long rod samples without the use of complex expensive equipment.
