SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a cosmetic composition. The cosmetic composition for cleansing hair and/or skin includes (a) one or several ethercarboxylic acids or their cosmetically acceptable salts of the formula: R₁-O-(CH₂-CH(R₂)-O)_n(CH₂CH₂O)_m-CH₂COOH, (b) a non-ionogenic surfactant including fatty alcohol of the formula: R₃-O-(CH₂-CH(R₄)O)_p-(CH₂CH₂O)_q-H, where R₁ and R₃ are a linear or branched alkyl or alkenyl chain having 12-16 carbon atoms; R₂ and R₄ are C₁-C₃ linear or branched alkyl chain, n and m are independently an integer of 0-3, the sum of m+n=1-3; composite ester of fatty acid of the formula: R₁-O-(CH₂-CH(R₂)-O)_n(CH₂CH₂O)_m-CH₂COOR₅, where R₁ is an alkyl or alkenyl chain having 12-16 carbon atoms; R₂ is C₁-C₃ linear or branched alkyl chain, R₅ is an alkyl or alkenyl chain having 12-16 carbon atoms, where R₃ is an alkyl or alkenyl chain having 12-16 carbon atoms, n and m are independently an integer of 0-3, the sum of m+n=1-3; p and q are independently an integer of 0-3, the sum of p+q=0-3, amount of which is less than 1% by wt.; where the molar ratio of (a) to (b) is from 6:1 to 4:1. Methods for the production of a composition, the use of a compositions in shaving foams, and a method for cleansing skin and/or hair are also disclosed.
