FIELD: cosmetics. SUBSTANCE: cosmetic compositions comprise in cosmetically acceptable medium at least one special amphoteric starch and at least one cationic conditioner taken among surface-active substances of ammonium quaternary salts, cyclopolymers of alkyldiallylamine or dialkyldiallyl ammonium, cationic polymers containing ammonium quaternary groups in main chain and cationic silicones. Invention relates also to method of treatment of keratin fibers, for example, hair using the above-mentioned cosmetic compositions. Invention allows to eliminate problems associated with using compositions for hair based on conditioners, for example, weighting, insufficient smoothness and softness of hair in retention of other positive cosmetic properties that are associated with conditioner- -base composition. Invention can be used for washing and care with keratin materials, for example, hair, skin, eyelash, eyebrow, nails, lips and skin of head hairy part.
