FIELD: radionuclides production.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology for producing radionuclides for nuclear medicine. The method for producing the 212Pb radionuclide includes the emanation of the gaseous 220Rn radionuclide from a material containing a mixture of the 228Th radionuclide and its daughter decay products, followed by the removal of the 220Rn radionuclide by a carrier gas flow into the storage volume. A solution containing a mixture of the 228Th radionuclide and its daughter decay products is applied to a microfiltration fluoroplastic hydrophilic membrane, the membrane is dried, installed in a generator, and blown with a laminar carrier gas flow to remove the gaseous 220Rn radionuclide. Then, the accumulated 212Pb radionuclide is flushed from the inner surface of the accumulator. The device consists of lower and upper flanges fixed by bolting, into the grooves of which the generator is fixed, which is the upper and lower housings fixed into the grooves, in the space of which a membrane device centered by means of an insert is placed. Outlet fittings are welded to the upper and lower housings in the central part, connected by silicone tubes to a spiral accumulator, and an inlet fitting is welded to the lower housing from the side, connected by silicone tubes to a membrane compressor and a gas flow regulator.

EFFECT: achievement of a high degree of emanation ≈ 95% of 220Rn from the source, leading to an increase in the radionuclide purity of the target radionuclide 212Pb.
