FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of processing information received by radar and can be used in coherent-pulse radar tracking stations for selection of aerial objects (AO), simulating radar characteristics of real aircrafts. In the method, the linear speed of the accompanied aerial object is evaluated and the presence of rotating elements (screws, air intake blades), i.e. presence of turboprop components in its reflected signal, is determined. Cloud of light flexible reflectors of TFC type can not have high speed of movement, and in several seconds after dropping it has linear speed close to zero. Other artificial helicopter-type AO-type helicopters have low speed. At that, signal reflected from helicopter at all aspect angles of bearing has features of secondary modulation of turboprop. In the method, the decision is made to follow the real air object by the presence in its spectrum of the secondary modulation of the turboprop. Otherwise, the decision is made to follow the simulator of secondary radiation.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the creation of a method for selecting secondary radiation imitators (SRI), which enables to identify SRI in the form of tape foil clouds (TFC) thrown off the aircraft.
