SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used for the production of cottonin from plant bast raw materials. The method for processing plant bast culture includes the stages of decortication of straw of plant bast culture, chemical degumming, washing, bleaching, washing, drying of washed plant bast fibers and cottonization of dried plant bast fibers. Unfermented straw is used as the processed raw material of plant bast culture.
EFFECT: claimed method makes it easier to separate shive and fibers at the stage of decortication, and also simplifies the removal of pectin, lignin from the fibers of plant bast culture at the stage of chemical degumming.
