SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna equipment, in particular, to positioning automation systems for antenna systems. The technical result is achieved by the proposed positioning automation system for large antenna systems, containing an AC source, a positioning automation controller and, connected thereto, a beacon signal receiver and at least one motorisation unit including an electric engine, an electronic apparatus for controlling the engine, an encoder, and a temperature sensor; wherein the positioning automation controller is configured to ensure that the satellite communication station is guided to the repeater satellite and to track the repeater satellite using analogue and/or digital beacon signal receivers; the automation system also comprises a module for visual monitoring of the positioning, connected to the positioning automation controller via a fibre-optic line.

EFFECT: higher speed, longer durability of operation of electric engines, lower rate of positioning errors, and expansion of operating capabilities.
