FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: station for receiving information from the emergency position-indicating beacons of the space search and rescue system includes a single complex of processing and delivering information, containing hardware and software means for determining the coordinates and velocity vector of the beacon and controlling the guidance of antennas made full-turn to the medium-orbit satellite systems, and the information display means. The complex of processing and delivering information is connected to the information processing means of the said measuring complex via a switch-router and an Ethernet-type network, and provides control of this complex equipment. The method for controlling the guidance of antennas involves guiding the antennas of the station (system) for receiving and processing information for the predetermined time interval on a constellation of the medium-orbit spacecraft with the largest coverage area, in which the predetermined accuracy in determining the coordinates of the beacons is provided.
EFFECT: increasing the reliability of communication and the accuracy of determining the coordinates of the beacons.
