SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to vascular surgery. A fragment of the round ligament of the liver is isolated in a volume corresponding to the defect of the vessel, and crossed. Then the round ligament flap is positioned in the region of the vessel defect and sutured to the distal end of the vessel defect, while the first knot is applied with a synthetic monofilament thread "outside in" and "inside out", after which it is continued to be sewn with a simple twisting continuous suture. Before tightening the last ligature, the lumen of the vessel is washed with a heparin solution and the vascular clamps are removed, the area of ​​the defect is checked for tightness, the last ligature is tightened, the ends of the threads are cut off.

EFFECT: method allows to achieve good immediate and long-term results of surgical treatment of patients after plasty of the defect of the inferior vena cava, the advantage is the availability of autotransplanted biological material, the absence of deformation and compression of the lumen of the vessel in the area of the defect, which is also accompanied by a decrease in the risk of thrombosis, in addition, there is no need to use additional access and opening the pleural cavity for autograft sampling.
