FIELD: rubber processing

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of cushioned rubber. Described is a method for devulcanizing shock-absorbing rubber, which is characterized in that pre-rubber powder with a particle size of less than 1 mm is mixed with glycol in an amount of 0.5-2.0 wt.pts. per 100 wt.pts. rubber powder, then in the resulting mixture based on 100 wt.pts. rubber powder add 1.0-5.0 wt.pts. a pre-prepared devulcanizing composition comprising a thiazole and a stearate or oleate of a metal selected from the group: manganese, copper, iron, zinc, or a mixture of stearates and/or oleates of the mentioned metals, in a ratio, respectively, per 100 wt.pts. thiazole 25-50 wt.pts. stearate and/or oleate of the mentioned metals, then the resulting mixture is mixed and heated to a devulcanization temperature of 130-150°C and thermostated at this temperature, after the completion of the devulcanization process, the resulting devulcanized rubber powder is cooled to a temperature of 30-50°C.

EFFECT: increasing the conditional tensile strength of devulcanized rubber, while reducing power consumption and labor intensity of the method.
