SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shielding from electromagnetic fields and can be used to control the effectiveness of electromagnetic shielding of various devices that require protection from external fields (non-contact fuses for engineering mines, actuators for radio-controlled mines and reconnaissance and signaling devices, etc.). The substance of the effect lies in the fact that the screen is irradiated from the outside with a primary electromagnetic field, and an electromagnetic field converter into a low-frequency acoustic field is placed inside the screen under study and its frequency is recorded, determined by the intensity of the electromagnetic field penetrating the screen.
EFFECT: improving the quality of the electromagnetic shield evaluation, especially when examining the shield in a wide frequency range.
