FIELD: veterinary medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary medicine, in particular to methods and means for normalizing energy-metabolic processes in animals. A method for activating energy metabolism during the development of pathobiochemical processes in animals consists in administering to animals intramuscular injections of a preparation in which sodium succinate is used as an activator of aerobic energy synthesis, and iodine components are used as an activator of energy metabolism and metabolism: iodine and potassium or sodium iodide, as erythropoiesis activator - cyanocobalamin. These substances form a single energy-metabolic composition. The substances in this composition are used in the following ratio of components per 1000 ml of an aqueous solution: 10 g of succinic acid in the form of sodium succinate, 3 g of iodine, 9 g of potassium or sodium iodide, 1 g of cyanocobalamin, 10 g of polyvinyl alcohol, 2.5 g novocaine, water for injection up to 1000 ml. The drug is administered three times per course 1 time in 7 days to young animals with a pronounced symptom complex of malnutrition, anemic syndrome, energy and iodine deficiency with increasing dosage: calves 3-4-4.5 ml, piglets 2-2.5-3 ml, and lactating cows with symptoms of metabolic acidosis and iodine deficiency, 10 ml.

EFFECT: use of the invention will ensure effective activation of the aerobic pathway of energy synthesis in animals.
