FIELD: technical electrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical electrochemistry, in particular to the deposition of hybrid coatings based on oxides of cobalt, nickel and chitosan on the surface of stainless steel. Can be used as wear-resistant, antibacterial and corrosion-protective coatings. The method includes oxidation of stainless steel at an alternating asymmetric current in an electrolyte containing a chitosan solution with the addition of a dilute hydrochloric acid solution to maintain pH in the range of 2-3. An aqueous electrolyte solution is used with the following ratio of components, g⋅l-1: Co(NO3)2⋅6H2O 80.0-100.0, NiCl2⋅6H2O 15.0-30.0, Ni(NO3)2⋅6H2O 15, 0-30.0, polyepichlorohydrindimethylamine (polyECHDMA) 2.0-6.0, water-soluble food chitosan 1.0-2.0. Oxidation is carried out at an alternating asymmetric current at a ratio of the cathode and anode current components of 2:1, a voltage of 25-30 V, at a temperature of 40°C, and an electrolysis time of 60 minutes.
EFFECT: obtaining a hybrid coating in one stage with a uniform distribution of oxide compounds of cobalt and nickel in the polymer matrix.
