FIELD: technical electrochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of technical electrochemistry, in particular to the deposition of coatings based on cobalt-manganese spinel on the surface of stainless steel. Can be used as corrosion-protective coatings in the field of hydrogen energy. Method for producing coatings based on cobalt-manganese spinel on the surface of stainless steel from an electrolyte containing, g⋅l-1: cobalt nitrate (Co(NO3)2⋅6H2O) 160-200, nickel nitrate Ni(NO3)2⋅6H2O) 15-25, nickel chloride (NiCl2⋅6H2O) 15-25, boric acid (H3BO3) 20-40, manganese sulfate (MnSO4⋅5H2O) 20-40. The method is carried out at alternating asymmetric current at an average current density equal to 0.0058 A⋅dm-2, the ratio of the cathode and anode current averages over the period of 1.25, temperature 40°C, pH 3-4 for 60 min with simultaneous coprecipitation oxide compounds of cobalt, manganese with a spinel structure.
EFFECT: obtaining coatings based on cobalt-manganese spinel on the surface of stainless steel in one stage while reducing the energy consumption of the process of obtaining coatings.
