DEVICE FOR REDUCTION IN HYDRODYNAMIC RESISTANCE OF VESSEL Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC B63B1/32

Abstract RU 2785404 C1

FIELD: shipbuilding.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for reduction in hydrodynamic resistance of a vessel, in particular to a device capable of significantly reducing wave resistance, as well as friction resistance, created by sea water during vessel floating, thereby increasing a speed, providing steady floating and fuel saving. According to the invention, the device for reduction in hydrodynamic resistance is located below a waterline of a hull, and it provides vessel movement, whereas sea water comes through a bow part due to rotation of a propeller screw located on the hull, and it is released through a rear part of an aft, thereby significantly reducing friction resistance and wave resistance of sea water.

EFFECT: besides improvement of a floating possibility, there is a possibility of an increase in a speed and fuel saving.
