FIELD: ship building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding and navigation in difficult and stormy conditions of ocean navigation on coastal lines of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands. Object of the invention is a medium-displacement passenger vessel with sea endurance for active all-weather navigation on lines of up to 500 nautical miles between the ports of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, which include the storm waters of the northwestern Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk and the Sea of Japan. Hull and general architecture are designed according to the results of experimental and computational experiments in order to achieve propulsion by an arbitrary course with respect to the storm wind and waves with minimum rolling. Structural draft is 5 m, which can increase the rolling in the position with the lag to the wave, however, the windage of the superstructures ensures that the vessel will meet the storm wind in the event of an emergency stop of the main machines, thus ensuring the unconditional safety of the vessel, crew and passengers on coasting shipping routes.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improving the operational characteristics of the vessel with the achievement of all-season and all-weather navigation on the coastal lines of Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, on other sea routes of the Far Eastern seas of Russia.
