FIELD: rolling production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rolling production; it can be used for flatness adjustment of a metal band rolled in a rolling cage. The method includes determination, using a control device, of a set of controlling values for flatness adjustment elements and control of these elements, while, by means of the control device, the first optimizer is implemented, using which, according to the set ratio, actual adjustment values are set, and a combination of flatness values is determined, and then, according to the set minimization algorithm, actual adjustment values are determined, based on which change vales are determined for controlling values for flatness adjustment elements, using a flatness adjuster implemented in the control device.
EFFECT: use of the invention allows for an increase in the quality of flatness adjustment and, respectively, the quality of a rolled band.
