FIELD: automotive industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for notifying a vehicle driver about approaching an unregulated pedestrian crossing. The device contains: a radio signal receiver, a processing unit and a signaling device in a single housing. The device is designed to be installed inside a vehicle. The device is configured to receive radio signals by means of a receiver, process them by means of a processing unit of the device, and notify the driver of approaching an unregulated pedestrian crossing by means of the device signaling device. Radio signals are transmitted by an antenna installed on the carriageway in front of an unregulated pedestrian crossing at a distance not less than the average stopping distance of the vehicle, depending on the set maximum speed on the road section.
EFFECT: improved road safety is achieved.
