FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to band saws. The band saw contains serrated and trailing edges, blade divided into evenly alternating strip adjacent sections in accordance with the number of teeth connecting the serrated and trailing edges of the saw. Each adjacent section, coinciding with the saw tooth, is hardened with increased hardness and is located symmetrically to the axis passing along the front face of the sharpening angle and along the top of the tooth, and the width of the section does not exceed half the saw tooth pitch.
EFFECT: invention increases the durability and wear resistance of band saws.
