FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of heat treatment of metals and may be used in operation of band and disk cutting saws. To increase the saw resistance, service life, and efficiency, new hardened metal areas are formed on the saw teeth points periodically, on teeth with initial hardened layer size decreased as a result of periodic teeth sharpening.
EFFECT: increase in saw resistance, service life, and efficiency.
