FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the woodworking industry, in particular to circular wood saws. Circular saw for transverse sawing of wood includes a blade with a toothed rim and a central hole, divided into adjacent evenly alternating sections without violating the integrity of the saw blade in accordance with the number of teeth, clamping flanges. Each adjacent section, coinciding with the saw tooth, is made fully hardened with increased hardness, is located longitudinally and symmetrically along the saw radius passing through the saw tooth top, and is limited by circles determined by the saw and clamping flange diameters. The width of the section does not exceed 0.9 saw tooth pitch.
EFFECT: invention increases the durability and wear resistance of a circular saw for cross-cutting wood.
