SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protection of metals from atmospheric corrosion and can be used to protect agricultural machinery and equipment from atmospheric corrosion. The method includes mixing synthetic oils and nitrogen-containing organic matter. As synthetic oils, used polyalphaolefin motor oils or their mixtures with used mineral motor oils are used, and the Emulgin additive is used as a nitrogen-containing organic substance. The components are taken in the amount, wt.%: waste oil 85-95; Emulgin 5-15. The components are heated to 70-100°C for 0.2-2 hours with simultaneous stirring until a homogeneous composition is obtained. As an organic solvent, white spirit is used up to 20% by volume, which is necessary to reduce the viscosity of the composition during pneumatic atomization.

EFFECT: resulting composition has a high and stable protective effect against atmospheric corrosion when applied to carbon steel surfaces, including rusty surfaces, the invention allows expanding the functionality of polyalphaolefin oils and the available raw material base for obtaining an anticorrosion composition, and the disposal of used oils, amine production waste contributes to the improvement of the environment.
