SUBSTANCE: invention relates to apparatus made to continuously determine the concentration of dissolved oxygen in aqueous solutions and biological suspensions. Apparatus for measuring the concentration of dissolved oxygen in aqueous solutions and suspensions of biological objects using a fibre-optic oxygen sensor includes a measuring cell configured for a radially oriented oxygen sensor to be tightly mounted, said sensor constituting an assembly containing at least one Y-shaped fibre-optic cord with a composite core, composed of two physically mixed fibre bundles intended for separating the optical paths of excitation and recording of an optical signal, wherein arranged consecutively against the end of the first fibre bundle of the Y-shaped fibre cord are an excitation emission emitter and a light filter, arranged consecutively against the end of the second fibre bundle of the Y-shaped fibre cord are a light filter and a photodetector, an attachment for placing a replaceable element with a deposited layer of an oxygen-sensitive material is located opposite the common end of the fibre cord; the apparatus also comprises a sealed cover with at least one central hole made to ensure the drainage of excess volume and maintain a constant volume of the reactor to ensure the input of reagents; a magnetic mixer is mounted into the cell.
EFFECT: prevented diffusion of atmospheric oxygen into the volume of the measured sample, higher accuracy and speed of measuring the concentration of dissolved oxygen in a biological suspension.
