DEVICE FOR SIMULTANEOUS REAL-TIME SCALE INSPECTION OF MULTIPLICITY OF AMPLIFICATIONS OF NUCLEIC ACID Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC G01N21/63

Abstract RU 2304277 C2

FIELD: qualitative and quantitative inspection of nucleic acids.

SUBSTANCE: device can be used in medical practice when treating infectious, oncology and genetic diseases of human and animals, in research centers for molecular-biological and genetic surveys as well as for genes monitoring. Device has thermal cycler with heat-conducting member, thermal cap, temperature mode automatic control device and optical system. There are hollows in heat-conducting member, which hollows intend for test tubes filled with reaction mixtures. Optical system has radiation source, fiber-optic wave-guides for transmitting excitation light from source and for radiation of fluorescence from test tubes, and detector. Light guides are made in form of optical fibers; central part and peripheral part for collecting fluorescence are disposed coaxial. Central part of light guide is aperture mated with amount of reaction mixture in test tubes.

EFFECT: maximal usage of light flux for excitation of reaction mixture; reduced of light loss in test-tube filled with reaction mixture; improved sensitivity; higher precision of analysis.
