FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology and transplantology, to cell biology, and can be used to obtain a fragment of retinal pigment epithelium, RPE. That is ensured by removing the sclera from the choroid proper by dissecting the sclera from the limb to the optic nerve into 4 parts parallel to the anteroposterior axis of the eye at equal intervals. Each part of the sclera is alternately bent and twisted by a "mosquito" clamp, and from the side of the suprachoroidal space, the vortex veins and the optic nerve are accurately dissected off. Thereafter, the sclera is completely excised. Thereafter, straight blunt ophthalmic scissors are used to make two incisions of the choroid-pigment complex, CPC, from the optic nerve outlet towards the cornea at distance of 16 mm. Then the branches of the scissors are turned through 90 degrees and the CPC is cut along the whole circumference. Then two anatomical forceps grasp RPE fragment and separated from neural retina. Then a plastic ring with a hole diameter of 14 mm is placed with pigment epithelium upwards and fixed with the help of a plastic ring with a hole diameter of 15 mm by placing the ring with a smaller hole diameter into a larger one. Thereafter, the fixed RPE fragment is placed in well of 12-well culture plate, which is filled with 5 ml of the corneal storage solution and covered with a lid.
EFFECT: invention provides preservation of natural RPE morphology, reduction of degree of contamination with retinal fragments and contents of vitreal cavity of retinal pigment epithelium fragment, at the same time RPE is not damaged.
