FIELD: radars.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar with active response and can be used in upper-air radiosondes (UAR) of atmospheric radiosonde systems for measuring the slant range to the radiosonde by the pulse method, direction finding by angular coordinates and transmission of telemetric information on one carrier frequency. Autodyne asynchronous transceiver of atmospheric radio sounding system contains an antenna, a controlled attenuator, a control device and a controlled attenuator connected in series, a microwave generator with the possibility of electrical frequency control and its activation, an autodyne signal recording device, a bandpass amplifier, a radio pulse detector, a comparator with hysteresis, a time pulse selector and a response pause pulse shaper. A controlled attenuator by high-frequency ports is connected between the antenna and the microwave generator. The output of the response pause shaper is connected to the first output of the control device. The second output of the response pause shaper is connected to the control input of the controlled attenuator, and the output of the radio pulse detector is connected to the third output.
EFFECT: expanding the range of operating ranges of the radio sounding system to the region of short distances, expanding the dynamic range of the asynchronous transceiver (AT) in terms of the request signal level and increasing the resistance of the AT to active interference in the form of a chaotic sequence of radio pulses.
