FIELD: crystal production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a technology of the manufacture of a quartz crystal. A method for cutting of a crystal out of a bar of synthetic quartz includes obtainment of a bar of synthetic quartz, cutting out of the specified bar of synthetic quartz of a crystal in the form of a modified regular tetrahedron containing four essentially identical triangular faces made with the possibility of setting of four truncated vertices and six beveled ribs, wherein each of four truncated vertices is parallel to at least one of four essentially identical triangular faces, while six beveled ribs have an average length l and an average width w, each of four truncated vertices contains three sides y and three sides z; wherein 8≤1/w≤9.5, 1.3≤y/w≤1.7, 0.8≤z/w≤1.2; polishing of the specified crystal, wherein cutting and polishing are carried out without heating of the bar of synthetic quartz above 573°C and without transition to a melted quartz state.
EFFECT: crystals obtained in such a way resonate with acoustic, electromechanical, and electromagnetic radiation, depending on a size and a shape of a crystal.
