FIELD: measuring.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to level measuring means, in particular, to an apparatus for measuring the hearth level in coking chambers relative to the paths of coke production machines. Apparatus includes a level meter installed on a height-adjustable rack and is made in the form of a laser level gauge equipped with a horizontal rod configured to extend into the level measuring area of the hearth, wherein a target is mounted on the edge of said rod, abutting against the hearth surface and made in the form of a slot in the inner surface of the back side of the heat insulation box, wherein the height-adjustable rack is linked with the base by means of an adjustable screw connection. The laser level gauge is equipped with a gyroscope made to locate the level gauge in the horizontal plane in the measurement period, and is bound from the heat effect of the coking chamber by a heat insulation box that is open in the direction of the target. The target mounted on the extendable edge of the rod is equipped with protection against the heat emission of the coking chamber, made in the form of a box lined with a heat insulation material and open in the direction of the laser level gauge.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of level measurement at a specific point on the surface of the hearth of the coking chamber and shorter duration of effect of the temperature of the coking chamber on the measurement accuracy.
