SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of analytical chemistry. The method for determining the mass concentrations of phenol and pyrocatechol in the blood by high-performance liquid chromatography is characterized by taking a blood sample, acidifying it with a 0.1% solution of orthophosphoric acid in a sample/acid solution volume ratio of 20:1, extracting liquid analytes extraction, for which acetonitrile is added to the acidified sample in a sample/cetonitrile volume ratio of 1:1, respectively, the mixture is centrifuged for 10 min at a speed of 5000 rpm, the upper layer of the extract is taken, 0.1 g of a mixture of C18 sorbent and salts of magnesium sulfate in a mass ratio of 1:6, respectively, to purify the extract, mix for 1 min and centrifuge again for 10 min at a speed of 5000 rpm, the purified extract is filtered and injected into the chromatograph 10 mm3 of the filtered extract, the measurement is carried out and the concentration of phenol and pyrocatechol is determined using a calibration curve.
EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of determining phenol and catechol from one blood sample in their joint presence, while ensuring the high sensitivity of the method.
