FIELD: separation.
SUBSTANCE: proposed group of inventions relates to a vortex trap of a cyclonic separator and to a vacuum cleaner containing such a vortex trap. The vortex trap of the cyclonic separator contains immobile blades having a round convex front end, around which incoming air is directed to the vortex trap. At a place, where air is separated from the blade inside the vortex trap, a cross-section of blades has only one sharp edge. A middle line of the cross-section of blades do not cross a chord line in a half of the cross-section, which is front along the course of a flow. A side of blades, facing incoming air, is equipped with a protrusion at a stagnation point. The protrusion has such a shape that to direct incoming air to the vortex trap. The protrusion has a concave shape repeating a shape of an adjacent blade. The protrusion has a rounded vertex. The protrusion has a height in the range from 70 to 130% of a width of a gap between blades. The protrusion has a height in the range from 85 to 115% of the width of the gap between blades. The width of the gap between adjacent blades increases from an outer part to an inner part of the vortex trap. The vacuum cleaner contains a cyclonic separator having the above-mentioned vortex trap.
EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of separation due to creation of a sustainable rotary flow.
